On March 2, the Ministerial instructions invited 1,047 applicants under Canada Express Entry Latest Draw to apply for Canadian PR.

In the latest express entry draw, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) solely invited individuals from the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). The cut-off for the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) stood at 761.
IRCC invited 1,082 PNP candidates to apply for Canadian immigration in the previous round of invitation which was held on Feb 16 2022. The number of Express Entry candidates invited in a single round of invites set a new high record.
It should be noted that since December 2020, IRCC hasn’t had an any express entry draw for Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) applicants, and since September 2021 no express entry draw has been held for Canadian Experience Class (CEC) applicants. As per the recent briefings by IRCC, they are focusing on clearing the backlog of the existing applications.
The latest express entry draw ( 02 March 2022) happened two weeks after the previous Canada express entry draw. This is a consistent trend so far and also the number of invitations issued under the latest express entry draw has stayed above 1000 as well.
Few Details about Express Entry Program:
The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) is used by Express Entry to rank candidates’ profiles using a points-based system. Candidates who get the highest scores are provided an Invitation to Apply (ITA) and can subsequently apply for Canadian PR.
An IRCC officer evaluates the application and makes a decision once the candidate submits it. Biometrics will be requested, and the officer may schedule an interview or seek more papers.
IRCC issues a Confirmation of Permanent Residence document (COPR) if your application is approved. The landing process can then be completed by permanent residents who have been approved. They can use pre-arrival services to assist them with the first steps in settling in Canada if they are not already in the country.
