Details:
On March 16, Canada welcomed 924 Express Entry applicants to apply for permanent residency. In the current invitation round, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) solely invited individuals from the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Candidates needed a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) of at least 754 to be invited. Because PNP candidates got an automatic 600 point boost when they obtain their nomination, the minimum score was relatively high. The lowest-scoring candidates would have received 154 base points if they had not been nominated.
If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is determined by the date and time their Express Entry profiles were submitted. Candidates who have been invited to apply for permanent residency in Canada now have 60 days to do so. IRCC invited 1,047 PNP candidates to apply for Canadian immigration in the previous round of invites.
What is Express Entry Program:
Express Entry is an application algorithm that uses the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to rate candidates’ profiles using a points-based system. Candidates who receive the top scores are given an Invitation to Apply (ITA) and can then apply for permanent residency in Canada.
After ITA, the candidate submits the application, and an IRCC officer reviews it and makes a decision. All the important documents will be required to process your application, along with the Biometrics and medical. The IRCC processing immigration officer will decide whether to conduct an interview or request additional documents.
If your application is approved, IRCC will send you a document called a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR). Permanent residents who have been approved can then finish the landing process and start their living in Canada.
