What is the length of the exams and when will the results be available?
It takes 3 hours to complete the CELPIP test in one sitting, with time allocated to each question, answer and transition. The test is administered online. The CELPIP Listening and Speaking sections may take a few extra minutes, while the Writing section is only a few minutes shorter than the other sections. The IELTS test components do not have to be completed all at the same time on the same day. The IELTS speaking component is conducted in a separate session at a different time, day, and potentially even location from the rest of the test. When taking the IELTS test, there is no automatic electronic time monitoring, and the times may not include the transition times between the different components of the test.
The IELTS test takes approximately 13 calendar days to complete, whereas the CELPIP test takes approximately 10-12 calendar days. If you require results sooner than three business days, CELPIP offers an express rating system for a cost of $100. The score is available in three business days for a fee of $100.
